GK – Steven Arnold (Sutton United) Although his side lost 1-0 to Tranmere Rovers, Arnold prevented it from being a lot worse. The 34-year-old made an incredible 11 saves, including one from the penalty spot and faced 2.82 xGOT (expected goals on target).

Veteran.

RB – Perry Ng (Cardiff City) Scored the only goal and kept a clean sheet in a Player of the Match performance, as The Bluebirds won 1-0 away to Bristol City. Huge. CB – Ben Gibson (Norwich City) Clean sheet and an assist for Norwich’s only goal in an important 1-0 win against Sunderland that keeps them on the tails of their promotion rivals. Also completed 86/95 passes.

Rock.

CB – Luke Woolfenden (Ipswich Town) Helped his side to a 2-0 victory away at Plymouth Argyle with a passing accuracy of 83%, as well as winning 5/6 of his aerial duels. The Tractor Boys remain in an automatic promotion spot. Formidable.

LB – Baily Cargill (Mansfield Town) Created three chances and, in turn, grabbed the assist for Mansfield’s winning goal in their 1-0 triumph at Newport County, which keeps them at the summit of EFL League Two. Also did his defensive work – came out on top in 6/9 ground duels and 8/9 aerial duels.

Impressive.

Mansfield Town - Defender Baily Cargill has been voted as Man of the Match

DM – Bosun Lawal (Fleetwood Town) 20-year-old natural defender playing in midfield and scored twice in Fleetwood’s 4-2 home win over Wigan Athletic. Could have had more goal contributions with two chances created. High passing accuracy of 84% and was the victor in six ground duels.

Star.

CM – Elliot Lee (Wrexham) Scored the final goal in Wrexham’s 4-0 thrashing of Accrington Stanley at the SToK Racecourse and also helped himself to an assist – although possibly should have been more with five chances created. Attempted 44 passes and executed 40 of them. Ground duel success rate of 62% too.

Conductor.

AM – Harvey Knibbs (Reading) Stunning display in Reading’s 3-1 win at Carlisle United. Bagged two all-important goals to go with five chances created. 82% pass accuracy, winner of six ground duels and 2/3 aerial duels.

Talisman.

RW – David Brooks (Southampton) Player of the Match in a frantic 4-3 win against Birmingham at St. Andrews. Goal and an assist, as well as six chances created in just 64 minutes. Also had 82% pass accuracy and won 6/9 ground duels.

Superb.

LW – Ephron Mason-Clark (Peterborough United)Opened the scoring in Peterborough’s 2-1 win at home to Exeter City. The main man for The Posh created three chances and completed 26/29 passes he attempted.

Dazzling.

ST – Paul Mullin (Wrexham) Could only be one man. Only player in the English Football League to score a hat-trick this weekend – a feat he achieved in just 18 first-half minutes. Also added an assist to his stellar performance, as Wrexham stay well-seated in the hunt for the EFL League Two title.

Machine.
