Cheshire’s Luke Browning qualified in fifth position early this morning as he looks to set up
back-to-back feature race victories.
The 22-year-old will line up in seventh place for Saturday’s sprint race as the grid gets reversed and the points halved.
However, after a stunning round one, the Williams academy driver will be confident of reaching the podium - even on a track that’s notoriously hard to overtake.
Browning will then revert back to start in his qualified position of fifth for Sunday’s feature race.
He currently has 25 points in the championship standings and a four-point gap back to second place, and is in a great position to get another good haul of points this weekend for himself and his team, HITECH Pulse-Eight racing.
At the other end of the standings, Macclesfield-born Joseph Loake continued his poor start to the 2024 F3 season.
The 18-year-old left Bahrain with zero points and crashed his car in qualifying this morning. He will start both the sprint and feature races in 29th position on the grid.
